Chakamiya Union No. 1 under Kalapara Upazila is a traditional area. Char- The location of this char is 10-12 acres of land on Kachupatra river on the west side of Rashid Howladar's house in Kachimkhali village of Ward No. 8 of Chakamiya Union. 3 years ago this char was newly worn. Now different types of crops are grown in this pasture, especially different varieties of paddy. Bagan- By virtue of unremitting hard work and honesty, Bolian makes a man economical and Nazir Hossain, the son of Hachan Ali Bayati of Kachimkhali area in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhal district and Chakamiya union, is a successful vegetable grower by turning abandoned pastures into cropland. From his childhood, he was addicted to vegetable business and vegetable farming in the village. The dream of establishing a vegetable garden never left him. After many hardships, he started the vegetable business in 1998 with a capital of Tk 2500 to make his dream a reality and gradually became successful in 2000.
